These shoes perfectly serve their intended purpose. I bought them to pair with a 1920's style dress for a Great Gatsby party. They're clearly not designed for tough everyday use, but are perfect for a party. I was on the party committee, walked a lot and took photos during the event, and my legs were comfortable the whole time. When you wear them for the first time, you don't need to break them in. I don't know why people are complaining about the underside of the sole - it's suede instead of fabric and fits perfectly. The buckle on the strap is unusual, but it just needs to be hooked in front of the faux buckle. The strap was too long so I had to cut an extra hole in the appropriate place and trim off the excess, but it didn't matter much. As other reviews said they run small and don't come in half sizes I ordered a half size up from my usual 7.5 and the 8. These shoes were great value, they were comfortable all night and I got loads of compliments on how well they fit the occasion! I was very happy with them. I did NOT receive the shoes in exchange for my review as I've been reading so much about Revain lately - I wish I had though! How do you get into this deal?!
