A curved pool tends to leave debris on the sides.
Domed bowl tends to leave debris on sides when drained. Normally, the sink needs to be rinsed after each use to clean it. Possibly an unrelated issue, the drain plug doesn't close fully so the pool doesn't retain water for long periods of time. I haven't checked the drain plug adjustment, but it was installed by a professional plumber.
