I like the standard remotes but this one decided to give me trouble after a few hours. I was so heartbroken when he was in Netflix mode and I couldn't stop him from picking series. after going out in the evening and sitting down to watch tv, even fewer buttons worked. So I had to find an old one to turn on the TV. The only good thing after all the hassle was that I was able to switch channels with the new one via numbers. they just don't do things the way they used to. I'm disappointed that Sony isn't releasing quality like it used to. The worst thing is that you can no longer control the TV manually since they are no longer buttons or switches on the TV. So let's try again before we get back to the remote you need to program! that sucks too!
