Review on Bron Coucke Stainless Mandoline 20638CHB by Bobby Bond

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good product. for graters, vegetable slicers and slicers

When we decided to buy a mandolin, I did a lot of research. I've read many, many reviews of different brands and styles. We checked them out at local stores in May. I just wasn't happy with their quality and durability. We chose this Bron Original stainless steel mandolin. Worth the price! Design, strength, sharpness and easy cleaning. Hot water and a spray nozzle do just that. I also like the fact that you can get replacement parts from Bron. I can't imagine needing it, but it's nice to know you can. The box is also useful for storage. I recommend cut resistant gloves because they are so sharp. This is our choice for many things. When we first got it I used a potato and a carrot to see how it worked. What a joy, I can't believe we've gone so long without him. Want carrot sticks for kids lunch, get weekly value in 5 minutes. I want coleslaw ready in 10 minutes. And kids love the fact that we can have fresh fries every day. I really don't understand the reviews saying it's too spicy or difficult to use! Sharpness is good. Difficult to set up or difficult to use? You're joking, aren't you? Installation out of the box was easy, love the edge brace, you can mount it over the edge of the rack and really cut a lot. The thickness is continuously adjustable from thin paper to maximum. I like that (if you don't know how thick the potato chips should be, the instructions don't tell you). I looked at the instructions for about 30 seconds. when I first opened the box. I watched them again about two months later just to see if I missed something, no.

Pros
  • grater, vegetable slicers and slicers
Cons
  • negative impression
