I'm a happy customer with a few reservations

This is my first review, having been a top Revain customer for many years. I'm a PC/Windows user so switching to Chrome took a lot of learning/relearning. Searching my questions on Google and browsing You Tube helped me learn. With some settings and downloading EXTENSIONS from the Chrome Web Store, I can work with spreadsheets and Word documents. I like the ruggedness of the laptop and its long-lasting battery. The touchscreen isn't perfect, but it's functional. What I didn't know is that the Acer Chromebook can't open password-protected spreadsheets. This can be an obstacle for some potential buyers. I was unhappy but overcame it by unprotecting my document. The second limitation is the PDF function. I couldn't edit PDF documents without downloading the extension, which isn't ideal. I can't digitally sign a PDF either. Haven't found a solution yet. In general, the purchase is satisfied. This is a great travel laptop.

Pros
  • The Chromebook runs Chrome OS, Google's operating system designed for the way we live today. It has built-in antivirus, updates automatically, loads in seconds, and continues to be fast over time. (Internet connection required)
Cons
