Review on Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM Lens - Lens Only for Improved SEO by Mike Stevenson

I've finally upgraded from the original and the word 'upgrade' doesn't even begin to describe how much of an improvement it is. Day and night. Long time. The images are clear even wide open. 4 speed IS delivers. Built like a tank and very fast focusing. Even shooting experience changes (not just IQ). As a wildlife photographer (who literally climbs through the woods every weekend), the lockable hood alone was a huge improvement. Paired with a high-performance camera like the 7D mkii, this lens performs like a beast. I used the 70D with the original 100-400. It wasn't a terrible combination and I got good shots (and will keep them as a backup) but this lens (paired with the 7D) just changed my entire shooting experience. I'm looking forward to this year.
