This seat belt is great. I will say my pup and I had the unfortunate opportunity to see him in action. We drove down the freeway as I live 30 minutes from my work and I drop my Nix (6 month old German Shepherd puppy) at the daycare near my work every morning and pick her up when I go out so she's always me . . I knew before I picked her up that a seat belt was required for her when I saw the pup fall out of the car window on the corner (luckily the pup was fine). We were driving 70-75 south on the freeway and the truck on the north side lost a tire and the tire quickly rolled down the median and was thrown at me. Unfortunately, when I saw it, he was already driving to the south side. Direction. Tracks and my mind could only be accelerated and let him smack me in the side or try to slow down. I slammed on the brakes, braced for impact and hoped for the best knowing I was going to impact anyway. It hit me in the forehead destroying the entire front of my car (it's a Cruze so pretty small), the airbags deployed and in a panic I managed to maneuver my car right off the ramp and onto the shoulder to trying to avoid the pile and the only thing I could think of was to get me and my little pup out. Luckily I had minor bruises and scratches and my dog was fine, just shaking a lot. I have no doubt she would have flew forward or maybe even worse if she hadn't been buckled up or even trapped when I tried to get her out (she was scared). I am very grateful that I bought this seat belt and if you have any doubts about the purchase, I say: just buy it! That's an incredibly small price to pay for your furry baby's safety!
