I'm really amazed at the range this article has to offer. It picked up my Wi-Fi signal 150 feet across the house, around the corner, through the metal shed and into the building I live in. The building is also metal, but I placed the antenna in the window. The cable from the antenna to the USB port is nice and long. I decided to grab this instead of the $99 device as I figured I wouldn't have to pull the signal a mile away. But I might choose it in the future when I'm in an even more rural area.
