Review on πŸ”Œ Monoprice 10ft USB 2.0 A Male to Mini-B 5Pin Male Cable with Ferrite Core - Gold Plated (105449) by Brock Chisholm

Revainrating 2 out of 5

LOW tech here - don't know so take the grain/salt

Most of the following is about C CRANE portable SW radio which I wanted this AC to get rid of the batteries for. Regarding THIS cable and wall outlet: NOTHING on AM, a little bit on FM and NOTHING on SW except three crazy religious screamers and three stations that sound like they're from Cuba. Just tried to ditch cables and go back to batteries and was able to pick up more AM stations and a few other FM stations, and almost nothing for SW. : I had two shortwave radios - one box type, the other Uniden. I was actually drawn to these "worldwide" stations, but I never went further than turning the dial a few times and getting nothing from them. I actually needed/wanted/used ONE local AM radio station and almost never had an alarm clock. in the morning. Both eventually (years) failed, possibly because they weren't used. When Uniden stopped timing I almost got another one but decided it was too complicated for my needs so I went with this C CRANE thing just for the local AM station and maybe to play SW. So: it's VERY small, in the palm of your hand. I went for a complete set from Revain - two "coils" antennas. Plus a power adapter and sockets. Before there were AC units I used 2 AA batteries (not included) and was able to listen to a few AM and (better) FM stations. Never got PO. When the power supply arrived, I received NOTHING anywhere. ZERO tomorrow. Nothing but noise in the SW - some religious shit and maybe 3 or 4 Cuban stuff. Just tried turning off the AC stuff and going back to the batteries and the batteries are much better, there are actually a few AM stations. Giving things back, just throwing them away in the end. Probably just buy something off the shelf at Walmart. Actually there is nothing there or Best Buy.
