Review on Optimized for SEO: HitLights Warm White LED Strip Lights by Omar Malvo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exactly what I needed!

I was building a shelf for my figure collection and was looking for a lighting solution. I first made the mistake of buying some cheap ihomy RGB LED Strips, 16.4ft Flexible LED Strips, 300 Units SMD 5050 LEDs, Waterproof DC 12V Light Strips, LED Strips, Indoor party decorations for Christmas, home, kitchen, car bar (RGBW+ color varies) but they don't give good white light (are a mix of separate red, green and blue diodes) and weren't bright at all. It was just a bad choice due to inexperience. After returning them and hours of further research, I settled on this HitLights strip because it actually stated color temperature and brightness (surprisingly hard to find this information on many LED strips) and others that offered this information more like it , ranging from 250-300 lumens per foot instead of 768. The color of the lights is great and they are actually brighter than I need but I was planning on dimming them anyway so I figured it's best to be too bright to be and turn them down .as not bright enough. I turn it down about halfway for everyday use and turn it full on when taking pictures. Works perfectly. Keep in mind that these are actually 6 pre-soldered segments of 20 inches each. So if you want to cut the strip at the solder joint, you probably can't. these scissors. I didn't have to cut any connections, but since I had soldered the wire anyway, I could easily desolder it if needed. Overall I'm very happy with how they ended up on my shelf and would definitely use them again should I need more LED strips. I have used this dimmer: TORCHSTAR DC 12V - 24V PWM Dimmer Aluminum Body On/Off Button 30A Single Channel Dimmer Controller for Single Color LED Strips 5050 3538 5630 light strips Most common LED strip dimmers are listed at 8 amps but reviews showed this on they were actually 0.8A which is definitely NOT enough for the 5A that this 10ft tape is supposed to pull so this 30A dimmer met my needs and just looks better. And I used this power supply: HitLights 8A LED Strip, 96W Power Supply, UL Listed 110V AC to 12V DC Transformer, Low Voltage LED Strip Driver. be significantly more expensive or more difficult to handle (e.g. dowels not included in the scope of delivery). And one of those connectors for connecting a power supply plug to a bare wire for a dimmer: HitLight's LED Strip DC Connector - Female to Screw Terminal - for connecting LED strip power and DC power. I didn't even bother with the adhesive sheet that came with the lights as I installed the lights upside down on the tree. I immediately went with 10lb of 3M double sided foam tape (which I also used to attach the PSU to the shelves. That stuff is pretty strong). up to 5 pounds. (The product name says 5 lbs, but the packaging says 10 lbs. Whatever!) If you cut the light into more than one segment, you can actually fit two LED strips side-by-side on a 1-inch strip and you can do it with one Utility in the middle divide knives. Works great.
