These solar observers were just what we needed for observing an eclipse. I checked NASA's website to see which manufacturers sell NASA approved goggles that are proven to protect your eyes. This company met the standards. I later read that they were selling sunglasses online that did NOT protect your eyes - it was a good quality product. I also tried the goggles - I liked the view of the panel better because you can bend it to be closer to the eyeballs, which helped get a clearer view of the eclipse.
