Worked great for observing an eclipse

These solar observers were just what we needed for observing an eclipse. I checked NASA's website to see which manufacturers sell NASA approved goggles that are proven to protect your eyes. This company met the standards. I later read that they were selling sunglasses online that did NOT protect your eyes - it was a good quality product. I also tried the goggles - I liked the view of the panel better because you can bend it to be closer to the eyeballs, which helped get a clearer view of the…

Definitely not blind (and saw the eclipse!)

These eyes have one small disadvantage, which is that they have to be held in the hands. However, the whole event actually lasts 2-4.5 minutes, so it's a small price to pay to preserve your eyesight. This is one of the companies that makes certified safety gear, so you can't go wrong with this one. I'll probably see an orange tint through them (see attached image) but other than that it's just sunshine, which is exactly what you want. If you don't like the orange hue, that's the only objection…

Top quality. Why pay for cheap no name and no brand sunglasses when your EYES matter that much. This brand is one of the best deals recommended by NASA (or rather the Astronomical Society to which they have outsourced the task of recommendation). I'd rather pay $1.60 per viewer than 50 cents per viewer that can fry my calluses. Although that's not why I chose it! a few dozen fancier things like solar lenses/binoculars/telescopes. All of this has made me very skeptical and suspicious of anyone…
