Review on 🐈 Optimized Formula for Aging Cats: Royal Canin Feline Health Nutrition 12+ Loaf in Sauce Canned Cat Food by Monica Hall

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good choice for senior cats

Royal Canin is regularly maintained by the respected and highly trusted Wild Cat Veterinary Service in the San Francisco Bay Area (Nine Lives, Redwood City). I captured an elderly wildcat with severe ARI and took it to this vet where it was kept until it made a full recovery. Royal Canin was the main wet food for cats and he recovered well. They feed Royal Canin to the many wild cats in their care. I also have a rescue cat aged 12+ who I feed Royal Canin Aging 12+ daily and who loves it. From the age of 12, phosphorus levels are low, which is important as phosphorus is harmful to older cats with kidney problems. Also, my old man has very stiff joints and by the age of 12+ there are plenty of essential fatty acids, EPA and DHA which are said to improve joint health. I would give 5 stars but the price is quite high and Royal Canin doesn't offer cans larger than 5.5 ounces while larger cans cost less per ounce.
