Cable arrived on time as stated. The item was packaged in a sturdy box and arrived in excellent condition. I took the cable out of the plastic bag and tried to plug the end of the cable into the Samsung Galaxy S5 to test charging. When I tried plugging the end into the phone, I noticed that it didn't fully activate the charging sequence. I took an original Samsung cable and measured the end that goes in the charging slot and noticed a difference in size. The newly arrived cable is approximately 7.9mm thick while the original cable is 4.63mm thick. The measurement was only made on the part entering the slot/port. Due to the thickness of the part ordered, it will not fully fit into the charging port for a proper connection. Basically the cable is useless to me and probably not worth sending the cable back. The total cable length is 20.5 inches. USB end is ok. Update: Measurements were taken on the cable and a difference in thickness to the original cable was found. The metal end that fits completely into the cellphone to charge the phone is 2.26mm thick; while the original cable that came with the Samsung phone is 1.84mm long. Again, I couldn't fully insert the cable into the charging port, preventing me from charging the phone. Basically the end of the cable is a bit thicker and I can't charge my phone even though the product description says the cable replaces the Samsung Galaxy S5.
