Would be better with a solid piece instead of a wireframe
I bought this to use as a side table for the upper bunk of my motorhome so that the person sleeping up there could have a cup holder and a place to stash a few things like a phone. It looks like it will serve the purpose and allow the slide out to clear. The bunk mattress is not terribly heavy in the wire frame seems like it is prone to slipping out more readily than it might be if it had a solid piece on the side to be secured by the mattress.
