Review on ๐Ÿชข ATERET 1/4 inch x 600 feet Twisted Manila Rope I 3 Strand Natural Fiber Rope I Ideal for Landscaping & DIY Projects - Multipurpose by Matthew Henderson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Fat black stuff in a rope.

Well, it's not the best rope. Halfway through my project I had a black, oily substance on the rope. My hands were disgusting. As I have already glued a few feet I would not be able to send it back. This rope would be great if I didn't have a black oily residue in the rope. Note: Photo of the finished project after I burned all the rags off the rope with a lighter. Jute rope/twine is MUCH cleaner than this material.

Pros
  • OIL TREATMENT: This rope is treated with rope oil, which is applied to the fibers during production. It also imparts a darker hue to the natural rope, which in many cases can be more pleasing to the eye. In addition, this oil acts as a preservative when used outdoors. When first receiving manila rope, it should be expected that a natural smell of oil may emanate from it. It should resolve over time.
Cons
  • Negative impression
