Updated 12/2020: I received a new kettle after being contacted by customer service. HOWEVER, after a few months of use, I noticed an odd taste in the water. I used my TDS meter to test the water. I compared tap water from a kitchen faucet, boiled water cooled to room temperature (kettle) and filtered water (Brita). As you can see from my photo tap water was 112, kettle water 167 and Brita water (not pictured) 98. Whatever is used to coat the inside of this kettle will get into my water and probably create an odd metallic taste. I will no longer be using this kettle and BUYERS beware! Firstly, this kettle came in product packaging so was not in Revain packaging and was not sealed/sealed at all. Second, I opened the box, looked inside the kettle and found this disgusting mold inside. I don't know what it is but I don't feel safe drinking from it. It also smells very strongly of chemicals inside. Third, I contacted customer service through the email I received from the product info card and never received a reply.
