Review on The Thexton THE482 Fastener Removal Tool: Unlocking Efficiency and Precision by Rick Alexander

The best instrument I own; If you need to remove rotor bolts, buy today!

It's rare that you buy a tool that actually works as well as you hoped it would. I can't think of a single instrument that has so exceeded my expectations. It's amazing how easily I can now remove bolts from Honda and Toyota rotors. I used to play around with the rotor bolts a bit, you know the drill. Use two hammers to loosen. then a hand impact wrench. a few words of your choice and if I'm lucky I can remove the rotor bolts in 5 or 10 minutes. If not I would drill the heads and remove the threads. Not difficult, but tedious and time-consuming. I rarely use an air hammer and only have a very cheap one (I think it's still only $10). Although I have a good compressor. I really didn't think my cheap air hammer had enough power to use this tool. I was wrong. The very first screw I tried was already severely ground and I was about to drill out the head to remove it. I figured since I have yet to drill the head why not try this tool. The screw came out in less than 5 seconds. it was crazy Now I live in Georgia so I don't have the rust problems I have up north, but rotor screws are still a nuisance wherever you live. The most amazing thing is that I have now used it on other propellers that were very rusty and peeling off. He took every one of them, even if there was little to grab. I am looking for rusty half stripped screws to use with this tool.
