I travel extensively for work and on my last trip there was a major storm which caused the lights in the hotel to flicker for hours as the storm blew. I have decided to order a surge protector to protect my electronics. I chose this surge protector for a number of reasons: price, size, it had a cord to attach to a hotel desk, and Tripp Light is a brand I know and trust. When the box arrived it was smaller than I expected. Compared to a regular wall plate, this surge protector is slightly larger, but still small enough to fit in your carry-on or computer bag when flying. I read a few reviews that said the USB ports don't work well on this device, but I have an Aukey 5-port charger that I travel with so I don't have to USB charge this device.
