Reliable attachment, easy assembly. CHECK YOUR GAPS!

Installed on 99 4runner sport. I placed it halfway up the driver's side liftgate pillar just behind the gas strut with a Firestik spring and 4 foot fiberglass bolt. Mounted with 4 screws that need pre-drilling but if done right it will hold up very well. The bracket is very strong, 1/8 inch thick and very difficult to bend. I had to rotate the mount a bit to get the right angle and I found it a little tricky, it took a bit of effort. I cried with a 4 pound sled on it to get in shape. I've hit a lot of zero compliance trees in the mount. High quality stainless steel, like a locksmith I know. The cable was long enough to go all the way with a few detours. and had about 6 inches of play on the radio for easy removal/installation. YOU MUST SOLDER THE CONNECTION on the radio, but that was easy with a $9 iron I got from a local hardware store. Just solder the tip, the other connector has a threaded connection that works fine. The kit came with a grommet to drill through the firewall. I chose to route it through the existing electrical grommet so nothing would leak through. My only issues were the shape of the light mount (gap issue with my tailgate) and a poor connection to my base plate. To fix this problem, a piece of 10g wire ran from the bracket to my frame. I'm pretty sure my setup was to blame, not the setup. Overall I am very happy with the mount. I should add that I installed it while babysitting my two boys (3 years and 3 months) while wife was out of town which should illustrate the ease of installation. I would recommend it to a friend. Don't forget the 90* radio angle adapter if you have a tight fit, my cobra 19 ultra is stuck in my ashtray and was absolutely needed.
