We have been using this dog leash for over 10 years. We decided to buy 3 more of these leashes but this leash was from a different brand. On three separate occasions the leash has been properly attached to our Beagle's harness and checked to ensure it is secure as we always do. Twice the line broke off the harness in the house. One day our beagle's leash came loose while walking. Luckily, the beagle in question doesn't leave the ground. Three of our other old lines never came off the harness. We found this to be an unusual circumstance. We wanted to "put away" our old leashes even though they were still in good condition and had never come loose from our Beagle harnesses. We just wanted the newer lines and the old ones to back up. I would not recommend these new lines as the fittings are defective.
