The battery life is pretty good. About 300 shots are typically taken between charges. Scrolling through the images does drain the battery. The camera takes a long time to load. I've missed many animal photos waiting for my camera to turn on. Overall, the camera isn't what I would call "fast". It takes a few seconds before he's ready to take the picture again.
