Review on APDTY 141947 Transmission Cable Repair by Jonathan King

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Saved time and money

That saved me an enormous amount of time and work. I maintain a fleet of GM pickups and SUVs. Factory repair consists of replacing the entire shift cable. While later models have a two-piece cable. While it may seem easy to replace a worn base, the connection between two sections of cable almost always breaks when attempting to do so. That means you need to replace the bearish high as well. This is a very high quality and much simpler option. I have successfully used other variations of this jack repair method. However, this one is made of very high quality material and packaged very well. If you look at the picture you will notice the orange, blue and gray parts. The blue part of the socket is all that is actually used for the repair. The other two are included to protect the necessary part. Take out the old, broken socket. Lubricate a new one, insert it into the linkage from the side of the gearbox and place it on the gearbox shifter. Ready! I'll leave it in the tool box.
