does the job. for gears and parts

It seemed to work for me. I don't like the installation set. 2 pliers used and it was still not enough to sit down. I was able to use my hands and a small flathead screwdriver to pry it in.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons

Quick solution! best in gearbox and transmission

This was a very quick decision compared to the original unit. The OEM part was very tight and I had a hard time tweaking it exactly to make it work. It was definitely worth the few bucks more!

  • Great for a small house

Connect your link!

Installation couldn't be simpler. 5 minutes under the car (avalanche 2009). Tip; Apply a LIGHT coating of grease around the bushing to help it slide into the shifter. Let's look at longevity. So far we couldn't be happier. A little overpriced for a piece of plastic but worth it if it lasts as long as the original.

Pros
  • Good product for the price

It was cool! For 3 1/2 weeks 😣 and the end!

I figured it was a sure shot after trying a cheap Dorman socket that never worked. I installed it as shown in the video. Everything seemed fine and I had no problems for three and a half weeks and then everything broke. It was so badly broken that after using nylon ties home, not a single blue jack remained in the shifter cable. It broke as if the material was brittle. Waste of $23.00! I have another Dorman pos in at the moment until I can get a new cable. Really stupid! (I would have posted a…

Life Saver Replacement Parts

This item has saved me hundreds of dollars. Used it on a Chevrolet. I'm going to give a backstory because you won't find many videos on this simple problem that you can solve by yourself. My car got stuck in park (this hasn't happened before), it started and shifted into any gear but didn't move. (Which is a good sign you don't have to replace the entire shifter cable (cost $400/$500), it just means the plastic bushing is cracked and needs to be replaced. Never replaced one before and had a…

Easy to install but only lasted 2 months

Installation was easy and straightforward. Be careful not to touch the exhaust pipe or catalytic converter even if the car is only running for a few minutes. You can get severe burns. The price was incredibly cheap compared to a factory cable or dealer installation. Worked great for two months. My car was parked by the parking attendant and they probably hit it while driving, reversing, parking causing it to come off the shifter. Anyway, it fell apart after two months. I took the shifter off…

Saved time and money

That saved me an enormous amount of time and work. I maintain a fleet of GM pickups and SUVs. Factory repair consists of replacing the entire shift cable. While later models have a two-piece cable. While it may seem easy to replace a worn base, the connection between two sections of cable almost always breaks when attempting to do so. That means you need to replace the bearish high as well. This is a very high quality and much simpler option. I have successfully used other variations of this…
