we wipe/sweep our 900 sqm. ft. hardwood at least once a day. After 10 years we decided to have another one as a backup for the one we replaced a few years ago. They don't last forever but they are very dense ;) Machine washable but usually we just shake them out after use. You'll need a broom for the final touch, but it quickly covers large areas without picking up dirt or throwing it up in the air.
