Cat Food in Reality 101

It's frustrating when people decide to feed their cat a certain brand of canned food because they (people) think it tastes good. Do you really think cats decide what kind of lizard, rat or pigeon to eat based on taste? As a pet parent, a food-loving cat should be at the bottom of your list of reasons for choosing one. Saying you feed your cat because she "loves" it is like saying you only feed your two-year-old cotton candy three times a day because she "loves" it. Following the strict guidelines set by the vet for my cats, I select this brand as one of the best that meets my pet's nutritional needs. Does it well, but not perfectly. Unfortunately, there are still no exact numbers for carbohydrates, which should be at the top of a cat's nutritional needs. High carbs negatively impact cats' blood sugar levels and are a major cause of feline diabetes (which is why responsible people should NEVER feed their cats dry food). And unfortunately, like most other brands, they're casual about the word "grain-free." because some of their ingredients are actually just as harmful to cats as grains. Despite all that, they're one of the best options overall, and the added benefit, by the way, is that my cats love them. The only thing that puts this brand down a bit is that they are on the higher end of the price scale, even compared to other super premium canned mixes.
