Not durable: kitchen and dining room

My brother-in-law built me a wooden kitchen table that I absolutely love. It has wooden slats which are not suitable for a kitchen table as food can get stuck between the slats. But it's just the perfect rustic decor I wanted for the room. I decided to protect it with plastic every day and open it when the company comes. I bought plastic tablecloths from Walmart and cut them to size. They worked well, but they just looked awful. When I saw this and saw that the size was perfect and the edges were sewn together, I thought I found the answer. Not correct. It's not sustainable. Every time I turned around I saw moisture seeping between the plastic and the table through tiny holes in the plastic. Hole after hole, and I've never had holes in Walmart plastic. I think I got back to that. I think I'm back to Walmart plastic.

Pros
  • Tablecloths
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
