Annoying installation; I don't really like glass fixtures

A good quality lamp. The fixtures that came with the last few houses I lived in looked similar but were of slightly better quality. Every fixture of this type that I have worked with has been difficult to install due to the insulation covering the screw holes. This is not a criticism of this particular manufacturer, all lights of this style that I have found have the same problem. It just seems a little disappointing. I would recommend having a partner on hand constantly trying to lift the item and line up the screw holes. You'll get it eventually, but fatigue sets in quickly when you're working on something over your head. My issue with this particular jig over others I've had is the hardware that holds the glass in place. Other fasteners I used had a rubber or cork washer, a metal washer, a nut, and finally a decorative bronze stud. It has only a bronze lid. The other design is inherently doubly secure: if the bronze cap ever comes loose, the nut will still hold it. This one only has a bronze cap, and if it ever came loose, the glass would fall to the ground. Also when trying to unscrew the bronze cap (if you want to change a lightbulb for example) there is less flesh to grasp as it is very flat. I wish I could just go to the local hardware store and pick out a light fixture. I would have noticed.

Cons
