The ability for all equipment suppliers in your facility to be able to view each other's products or procedures without having access to multiple databases that can not communicate with one another has been great! Also it makes life easier when trying to figure out what supplies need replenishing during maintenance windows as we have more than 1 service provider at our site so knowing which supplier needs reordering will make my job much simpler. If you are looking into an open source solution check this product first before purchasing anything else!! We started using truechem primarily because we had problems finding quality chemical data from several different sources within various industries including automotive manufacturers/suppliers (Bayer) & oil producers worldwide. Before working together I think many people would just use Google searches but now they realize how valuable such resources really do provide accurate answers to questions related to chemistry usage etc..
