I decided to try them to stop breaking my weak wavy/curly hair. To my surprise, they're actually quite effective at reducing breakage and leaving fewer severe wrinkles than regular ponytail holders. As a bonus, I like to match colors to my clothes. (The other kind I've always had is black or brown.) When I first use a new one I only have to wrap it around my hair twice, but it stretches over time so I have to wrap it 3 times. If over time I manage to lose them all, I plan to buy this species again.
