The concept of this thing is great, but as a level it has one major and insurmountable flaw: it's not a level. It took me a few weeks to get it out of the box, but the first thing I did with it was walk around my living room with a "spirit level" to make sure all my framed items were level. Remarkably, none of them were, at least judging by this device. After adjusting each frame, I stepped back to see that each was tilted to the right. My trusty non-laser spirit level confirmed that this unit was about 10 degrees off level. When I discovered its mistake it was too late to return it so it's garbage now. Instead of using this tool, I attached a laser cat toy to the tip of my trusty and accurate bubble level; It worked and I got the same functionality for less money. In fact, I've achieved more functionality because my jury-made laser level is accurate. I wish I could try this before I order it.
