I use lights above my gate and have been happy with their performance so far. I was afraid the lights would be too small to make an impression, but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw them in the dark. They cover the top of my gate/trellis (the top measures 4 feet by 2 feet). However, the remote doesn't work in my house, about 20 feet away. Luckily, one of the modes includes a timer option that keeps the light on for 6 hours. It works great and I don't have to think about turning it on and off every night. I love this feature. Patience is required during assembly, as you have to be very careful when unwinding the wire. It is very small and fragile and can get tangled if you are not careful. I'm curious how long the batteries will last - it takes 3 double A's. They've been there for a week and still are.
