Review on DeLonghi ECAM22110SB Silver Espresso Machine, 13.8 Inches by Ada Strzelczyk ᠌

I'm amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

Very happy with the device! I read negative comments and cannot agree - choose normal coffee and you will have a fragrant, tasty drink. Pay attention to the settings. With the right setting, the quality of the grains depends more than on the machine itself. I advise you to choose grains only by trial and error, do not look at the price. The price does not always indicate their quality, I quickly realized this. By default, the machine is configured, so until you try coffee, I do not advise you to change the settings. Please note that the grinding degree can only be changed while the coffee grinder is running. The machine itself is no louder than others, the water consumption is exactly the number of cups you want to make from a full tank. The excess doesn't go anywhere. Coffee also consumes normally, at least I did not notice an increased consumption. The components are dishwasher safe. The cappuccinatore works well, but you need to choose the right milk, as not every milk produces foam. I recommend Rioba milk. I bought in the fall of 2022 for 14,500. For more money you get extra features. Whether you need them or not, see for yourself. For example LCD display or automatic cappuccinatore. Personally, I don’t need the latter, because my family doesn’t drink cappuccino every day, and an automatic cappuccino machine implies the constant presence of milk in the tank, therefore, every day you need to pour fresh milk and wash the lines, otherwise everything will turn sour. The coffee machine itself is essentially no different from more expensive models. The brewing unit in all DeLonghi is the same - that of a car for 10,000, that of a car for 80,000. I confirm positive feedback after three years of use. Bought a second one just the other day. Regarding decalcification: I use acetic (about 30 g per liter) acid - it is less aggressive than citric acid, it does the job well (check on the kettle). The instructions say that the car in this case flies out of warranty, but if you do not worry about this, you can do the same.

Pros
  • Great coffee, relatively low price, compact, low maintenance, ceramic grinding unit that requires almost no maintenance (unlike Saeco).
Cons
  • Haven't found it yet.
