*So cool! in Glass Care

When I discovered a microcrack in the glass top of my new table, I was devastated! The table weighed a ton and took me over 4 months to lift and assemble. I've definitely been using it happily for about 2 months and then I suddenly noticed this crack on the table top - about where my forearm rests on the table. I have no idea how it happened. Considering how long it's been since I bought it and considering how heavy it was, there was no way I could return it. As I ran my finger over the hairline crack, I could feel two edges. I was afraid that the crack would widen, so I bought this glass filler. Admittedly, I was a bit nervous because I know I think I'm better than I really am. But when this tube came up, I used it. I ended up not using the screw spout because it seemed like a lot of the filling was getting stuck in the spout. Instead, I used a toothpick and placed it on the crack like I'm buttering toast. I "polished" it with a wooden toothpick to smooth the streak across the crack, then took a clean paper towel and wiped the edges and it came out (surprisingly) great! I used another clean paper towel and buffed it up a bit. If I run my fingertip or fingernail over it, I no longer feel this small crack. I can see it, but very faintly, and it's no longer noticeable! A 1.5 ounce tube doesn't seem like much, but I think if you use it sparingly it will go a long way.

Pros
  • Fills in voids and uneven surfaces
Cons
