Honestly at first I didn't know how much I would like them or even if they were what I was looking for, but now that I have them, OOOO! They come with a roll of duct tape but I didn't even have to use it! There's a clear film on the back that you can peel off and it looks like a static cling rubber backing that sticks to the stairs. I wasn't sure how well they would hold up to vacuuming (we have 3 dogs so we have pet hair)...no problem if the vacuum pulls them out and they suck very well. They prevent slipping when walking in socks and are very comfortable when walking. I can't say enough good things about these ladder rungs. I highly recommend and give them 5 gold stars!
