Review on πŸŽ’ Green Northwest Survival Hydration Pack - Extra Large Storage Compartment with 2L Water Bladder by Joshua Mccall

A piece of junk! on Outdoor Recreation

I loved this backpack when it arrived. We wanted to hike and row, so it was the perfect time. The backpack was big enough for my phone and keys, some snacks, a bottle of sunscreen, and extra clothes for my little one. I flushed out and refilled the water bladder (that came with water in the line?). There don't seem to be any leaks, but that's where the positives end. The package definitely leached chemicals into the water and I couldn't drink it. Not only did it taste like plastic, I knew it would be full of endocrine disruptors, which as someone with an autoimmune disease I can't expose myself to. Then the packaging started falling apart almost immediately. He lay in the boat for an hour and then I carried him on my back for an hour while hiking. And when I got in the car it was worn out in 2 places and with a hole in the bottom! And you can see that the seams aren't even placed correctly in some places. Not cool. I am so disappointed. I hope I can return it despite 2 hours of use as it is totally unusable and poorly made.

Pros
  • Durable nylon material for hiking, biking or running Adventure
Cons
  • Low maintenance
