I'm a beginner and don't always want to wear heavy motorcycle pants, but I would like knee protection. I'm not a big guy and the first velcro barely wraps around my leg and I thread the longer main velcro through the buckle. The straps tend to move toward the back of my knees and get a bit uncomfortable over time, but my sport bike has a pretty aggressive fit. My triumphant cruiser probably wouldn't have had this problem. Will they stay on my knees when I fall? It is not known if they can turn sideways and expose the patella, but this inexpensive insurance gives me peace of mind.
