The power strip is well designed and convenient on the output side, but I had to use an adapter socket just to plug it into the wall. This is because modern plugs and sockets require a single "wide" pin. This only has two thin pins (plus ground) so modern safety sockets will not accept it. I have a new house so this is not the beginning. This seems a startling omission given that most three-pin plugs have been wide-pin for years. And the thing is, you can't use the plug on this extension cord unless you use a hammer (which breaks the outlet). Obviously I didn't use the hammer method, but it annoys me that I have to add an extension to the 9ft extension cord.
