Does what it's supposed to do

GENERAL: Works well. I used it at 20, 40 and 80 meters from the entrance on an FT-857 with an automatic antenna tuner. It took me a little while to figure out the measuring tool and finally I put a piece of tape on it to mark, where the best settings were for my desired frequencies. Pros: The build quality is exceptional. It's lightweight, extremely portable, and includes everything you need. It sets up in minutes and transmits well as described. Of course, the conditions of the group also speak their word! The wire for the counterweight(s) is smooth and won't tangle too much if you gently coil it. A clamp mount works better for me than a tripod, but it's most likely due to my soil conditions in the Ozarks. I'll try to mount it on a photo tripod (lighting set) tonight. Cons: There is little to complain about with this antenna. Of course, this is a compromise antenna and will not outperform a properly constructed and deployed dipole on any band. And that's not a gap challenger! But it works well for a portable multi-band antenna. As expected, it has a very narrow 80-meter bandwidth, but it's easy enough to set up for any need. I would REALLY like to see some cheap counterweight winders! This system is too expensive not to include them. Conclusion: Except for the missing winders, I would recommend it to anyone who is out and about with their radio, often does field work, emergency services or preparatory work. However, don't expect magic. This degrades performance for portability and ease of installation. This system is too expensive not to include them. Conclusion: With the exception of the missing winders, I would recommend them to anyone who travels with their radio, often conducts field operations, Emergency work or preparatory work. However, don't expect magic. This degrades performance for portability and ease of installation. This system is too expensive not to include them.
