I was looking for a cooling memory foam pillow. I bought some more expensive pillows at the big department stores and didn't need firmness. This pillow is PERFECT! It's filled with gel, so it's cooling. After opening it and letting it "rest" for a day to set it in shape, I slept on it "as is" out of the box for a night. It was good but I decided to add some more foam. I tried again and realized I had put too much into it. A little distant. Now I have it with ideal hardness, softness and thickness. The pillow comes with a pouch of extra filling so you can customize it. The best feature! I have recommended it to several friends who have now bought it and love it for the same reason.
