Review on ☕ Twinings of London English Breakfast Tea Bags - 100 Count (1 Pack) by Gary Christon

I have attached a picture of an OLD twinning box attached to my review. This is NOT what you get anymore. The new box is dark orange with a brown burgundy stripe down the middle, but most importantly, this is NOT THE SAME TEA. The classic Twinings Earl Gray in light cream box and pouches was excellent, one of my favorite Earl Greys. I've been buying these boxes since 2015. To my dismay, it looks like Twinings has stopped offering the old classic version and replaced it with this new tea version. As a long time Twinings Earl Gray user I can categorically say that the new version they are selling now is TERRIBLE compared to the classic version. I'm not a tea snob and I could clearly taste and tell that the new version was terrible compared to the old. The change in packaging didn't bother me. I don't care what marketing or colors they used, but the moment I tasted my first cup of tea from this new box that had just arrived, I knew something was wrong. I had a few packets of the previous Earl Gray twining left over to make sure it wasn't me, so my wife did a side-by-side blind tasting comparison. It wasn't even close. I could tell right away which was the old and which was the new monster they'd switched to. Full Disclosure: You might LOVE this tea, it might even become your favorite tea. BUT for those buyers who have been drinking the classic Twinings Earl Gray, DO NOT BUY THIS NEW VERSION. You will be disappointed and want your money back. Complete rubbish compared to the previous mix. Now I'll have to find a new favorite of inexpensive Earl Gray (like I said, I'm not a tea snob). Bigelow will be my first stop.
