The new RSX heater/AC fan made a lot of noise during the recent cold snap. Noisy for the first 5 minutes until it warms up. So you can spend around $200 on an Acura OEM part, or around $55 on this one (which sells for up to $90 elsewhere!). It was a very easy replacement job in the RSX. For installation, see the installation instructions. So why 4 stars? While the unit *looks* almost identical to the OEM, when you power up and compare the OEM at 12V it clearly isn't. The impeller is unbalanced, as is the OEM, and the engine howls a bit compared to the OEM (barely noticeable in my car, a few days later, or with music, you don't). Just because I could choose to do the hard work of extracting the OEM impeller/fan housing prior to installation and fitting it to this aftermarket engine probably doesn't make it necessary, but I did it anyway. The tricky part is that the impeller on this blower was "glued" even though there was too much RED/permanent fixative on the threads and shaft. And care had to be taken not to damage the new motor that pulls it. But the better balanced OEM impeller is perfect for this engine assembly.
