Review on 🐱 Barley Cat Green Foods, 3 OZ by Lisa Price

Revainrating 4 out of 5

FOUR PAWS BACK (2nd purchase)

I have no idea about the nutritional value of Barley Cat. When used as a supplement, this yields 14 servings for approximately $0.85 per serving at the manufacturer's recommended dosage. I use it as a flavor enhancer to encourage one of our cats to eat her Rx food for kidney failure. At this rate (1/32 teaspoon) I get over 400 servings for about $0.03 each. The REALLY GOOD PART: She accepts Barley Cat readily and seems to prefer sprinkling it on top of it rather than mixing it in with food or camouflaging it. If Barley Cat gave her her appetite back completely I would give her 5 stars or more. She now makes a few offerings each time to get her plate ready, instead of the three or four presentations it took [five if counting if she just didn't show up] before we started using the Barley Cat . We use a few other flavor enhancers (Amino-Bplex Liquid, fruit-flavored probiotic liquid, and freeze-dried cat food), but none work as well as Barley Cat. For now. I'm sure she'll relapse again if her kidney function continues to deteriorate, but I'm pleased with the extra time that has given her an almost normal appetite. I've also tried Barley Cat on our other fussy cat and two other cats with normal tastes and they all accept the powder readily and seem to enjoy it. It still deserves 5 stars. Thank you Barleycat. UPDATE: Take a look at my separate CAT-MAN-DOO BONITO SPRINKLES review.
