Review on Gila Frosted Lattice Window Film: Enhance Privacy & Aesthetics with the 50196566 12in x 78in Size by Sal Mattocks

I'm tired of people walking to my door and peeking through my plain glass side window to look inside my house. I felt like I was living in a bubble. I thought about installing an etched glass element but it was expensive. I tried a similar product and while it gave me the privacy I wanted, it ended up being more like an ugly thick shower curtain taped to the window, filtering out most of the light. From the outside, the window looked like a mottled, opaque mess. I decided to try this product as I liked the look of the matte grid and I had read in other reviews that even the shading of the pattern was not see through. My posted image of the interior of the new product looks dark, but I think this is because there is now so much light coming through the side lights. In the photo I posted outside you can see the pattern that appears on both sides of the glass. I did not purchase an application kit as a quick internet search revealed that a small amount of baby shampoo mixed with plenty of water in a spray bottle is sufficient. Since my side light is narrow, I used a credit card instead of a squeegee to squeeze out the liquid and bubbles. The only thing to keep in mind when using this template is that you can place a diamond in the center of the side light for aesthetic purposes.
