I've seen Arducam blog posts about full PTZ setup and for the price it looked like a great prototyping kit. There are lots of code examples out there if you search the Arducam website and their github repositories so I thought I'd take a chance. The instructions weren't entirely complete, but I was able to figure it out by looking at the code. There is also an Arducam customer forum which I ended up needing. When I first got it, I plugged it in and nothing worked. I couldn't see it on the RPI page and it took some time to debug. The problem turned out to be a bad control board and I pointed it out in a forum post after days of digging through forums and code. To test the theory I ordered a second set and it worked right out of the box. When I contacted Arducam/uctronics support they quickly sent me a replacement board from China and now I have two complete working kits. on the forums on the Arducam website who had the same issue, so there are some quality control issues. The code is fairly well documented and the instructions are decent too, although you may need to browse the code to identify dependencies that you're missing in order for Python to work. It's definitely not for beginners.
