I hate having my tie dangling under my suit when I'm giving a presentation or just moving around. I look very sloppy. So far I've pinned the back loop of the fabric tie to the shirt (after threading the narrow end of the tie through this back loop). This worked very well, but with too many problems: (1) it was very difficult to slide the connecting rod through all those layers of fabric, and (2) the connecting rod often came loose when I moved. This solution does the same thing as Tie Tac and solves both problems. It only took a few seconds to put on and didn't damage the fabric. Second, this thing doesn't come off in any way once it's on the shirt buttons (until you decide to take it off yourself). Just like a tie, it is hidden under your tie so no one can see it. The only weakness is that the tie can move a little (less than half an inch from side to side) compared to being unable to move at all with a tie pin. It's a small concession and well worth it. There is another advantage over Tai-Tac. Because the tie is free to move up and down (rather than side to side), I don't have to remove the tie tab when tightening or loosening the tie. You get 5 of these but they look like they'll last a really long time so I'll probably give some away. A great idea.
