Review on Pioneer AVH 2550NEX Receiver CarPlay AndroidAuto by Jeremiah Whiteley

, I installed one in March on my 2002 F350 which was stolen in July. I was happiest with the original, so I replaced it with the same AVH-2550NEX. The biggest disappointment is the difficulty in getting all the details to compare. Different sellers have no parts, incorrect data or incomplete data. Even the Pioneer site doesn't list the input jack size for the AUX mini jack, which is 3.5mm. HOW: * HD radio so I can receive additional extensions from specific radios. * Bluetooth calls are VERY clear with no discomfort from the other end of the line, as has always been the case with my Jabra Bluetooth. * Music quality is excellent! Classic rock can be sifted through with good clarity, multiple EQ settings and two custom settings. * The listening position feature adjusts all 4 speakers to your chosen position, optimizing stereo sound. * The screen is easy to read, no glare, but our RAV4 has terrible glare with a similar Pioneer radio. It seems that different cars have different effects on screen glare. * The reversing camera is activated automatically when reverse gear is engaged and has a red and yellow guide line that can be switched on and off. DON'T LIKE: * The side buttons are tiny and hard for my big fingers to use. Luckily a remote control is included and works really well while driving as I don't have to lean forward to set up the stereo. * The biggest complaint is the long loading times. When I try to start the engine and drive, the rear view camera may not be available for 10 seconds or more after the vehicle starts. REAR INPUTS (see photo): microphone; AUX 3.5 mm mini jack; Radio Sirius; wired remote control; USB; iDatalink; Backup camera; AM/FM antenna; navigation block Pioneer; R/L and video input; video output; RCA jacks front and rear left, right and subwoofer. The package includes: * Microphone with clip-on or adhesive mount and long cable of about 10 feet * Wireless remote control * USB cable with male and female marking for connection to the car. Other items for my setup: Metra hardware kit 95-5817, Raptor RAP-FD-5001 harness connects Pioneer harness wire to Ford harness, APPS2CAR parking brake bypass device.
