Maybe scratching the wall

The ladder itself seems good but I returned it because too much of the part that leans against the wall etc. a hard plastic with protruding has vertical lines that can leave a scratch or dent on the surface of what it is leaning against. Really stupid design. I think I could wrap it in towels but didn't feel like I should.
