Tec 863 Face Mount Variable Overlay Cabinet Hinge with Dowel Review

We purchased this item for a new construction project. Using this product, our team found that the packaging did not accurately reflect what was inside. We also found the installation process to be confusing and difficult, even with our experience in Tools and Home Improvement. The only positive was that once installed, the finish looked nice. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this product due to the above mentioned issues.

These hinges have replaced the hinges on very high end cabinets that are over 25 years old. Easy to install and close flush with the cabinet door. Good service.

The springs in my 30 year old Grass are wearing out on the hinges of three closet doors that are in constant use. These interchangeable hinges fit together perfectly and just need to drill new screw holes in the door unit. The slightly revised design is a definite improvement. It took about an hour to replace the hinges on three cabinet doors.
