My canister wasn't working properly (won't refill no matter what I did and yes I know how they work as I've had different canisters for over 13 years) so after a couple of years I accepted that this might be the case the impeller. Plugged this in and the filter filled up as quickly as possible with no problems. I bought a second impeller as a backup.
- If you have an AquaTop CF500 canister filter, replace its impeller with this quality blue replacement. Impellers can become brittle over time from normal wear and tear, reducing filter efficiency.
